Description

Because being a performer is my life, I am flexible in what that means in a job setting. I think I thrive the most as a lead vocalist with a band behind me, but I also perform solo very commonly (accompanying myself with acoustic guitar and keyboard). I also am happy to be a backing vocalist for a lead act, if that is what the job or client requests. I am also open to collaborating with other artists in a songwriting setting.

Biography

Based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Alexia is an indie rock singer and songwriter. From a young age, Alexia knew she was destined to pursue music, as she enjoyed singing and storytelling more than anything else. After finishing high school, she studied in Prince Edward Island Canada, where she began writing her own original music. While in Canada, she recorded her first song, "Perhaps" with some friends and released it later on Halloween of 2021.
During COVID, she began gaining traction performing Downtown Portsmouth New Hampshire at numerous restaurants and clubs. In the fall of 2021, sh ... e transferred to Berklee College of Music where she studied Music Business yet continued to prioritize her artistic pursuits. Despite being a small fish in a big pond, Alexia began to find her crowd - getting momentum with recording songs again and performing around Boston. Some of these places included Cafe 939 Red Room, Breaking Sound Bill's Bar, and Odessa Art Space.
Alexia says her original music stems from the DNA of Peter Gabriel, Fiona Apple, Zella Day, and the Arctic Monkeys. Her music is driven by elements of mystery that leave the listener with their own interpretations of what the overarching themes are, as heavy drums and slide guitar set the scene. Read More

Solo Musician Performance Highlights: During the height of the Coronavirus, I consistently performed at restaurants for guests in Portsmouth New Hampshire including La Carreta, BRGR BAR, and The Oar House. Due to my performances, I began collecting clients where I would perform for their holiday parties and bachelorette parties. I also played a wedd ... ing in Vermont in the summer of 2022. Over the past summer, I was part of Berklee's Summer in the City program where I was selected to play at numerous corporate events during lunchtime.
Ensemble Performances: Throughout my high school and college years, I performed in chorus, acapella groups, and ensembles. While at Holland College in Prince Edward Island Canada, I sang lead and backup vocals for ensembles of all different styles including, Rock, Pop, Jazz, Celtic, and Latin.

As I mentioned previously my primary clients have been restaurant owners/managers, but I have also made further connections playing for couples at their wedding, Friendsgiving party, and bachelorette party. I also have played many corporate gigs at places like The Prudential in Boston Massachusetts.
