Biography

UK artist Alex Jade takes her music to the next level by exploring the boundaries and pulling her influences from various genres including country, soul, R&B, rock and pop. She gets a lot of her inspiration from Adele, who reminds Alex that “You could just be a girl with a voice and that is okay. You don’t need to take your clothes off to be successful or have a 40-piece band with every single song; you can have whatever you want and that’s ok.” When writing her own songs, Alex Jade pulls from her personal experiences as well as from others’ experiences. “I tend to write from situa ... tions I have gone through and draw on things that I loved or didn’t like about the situation and sometimes experiences I’ve witnessed my friends go through, Nothing is as real as songs written based on experiences, they are usually in my opinion songs which can help people express the things they are feeling when words fail them”
She also notes her favourite thing about writing songs “I usually have a million ideas so it’s sometimes hard to pin point on one thing, But, What I love is you can start writing something from one perspective and you write another line that takes it in another direction. I love that!” When producing, Alex starts with a vision and see’s where it takes her. “You can’t explain the vision or the sound in your head but you can try and describe it and hope the people you work with just get it and when they do it’s pure magic, there is nothing worse than dictating instrument by instrument what you want and don’t want as sometimes you overlook a potential sound that would make the track amazing, being open minded always is key at the end of the day it’s about exploring – the words will tell the story and the music is the glue that holds it together and makes it whole”
One of her favorite memories of growing up with music in the UK is her music class at school “We had this amazing thing going like the show Glee. We were a class of about 7 and we were so passionate and so close as we’d grown up together (some of us since we were 4!) by the time we were 17 in this class we were like a glee family almost every lesson we’d break out into song several times and we were all in a choir together too so the pure music love and enthusiasm was always in the air. Shout out to Helen who was our teacher/mentor and a pure rock. She was amazing, she really showed us how to harness our passion and use it to work really hard. Without her I wouldn’t be doing this today” Alex’s all-time favorite musical experiences are singing along with the crowd at concerts. “The feeling you get when you sing along with the artist in a live venue and the whole crowd is singing back to the artist; it just sends shivers down my spine. I hope to be the one on stage and have people sing my music that I’ve written back to me one day – that’ll just be incredible and so overwhelming.”
One of Alex Jade’s favorite childhood memories is of her and her Nan making up and singing silly songs. “Every day we’d make up a new song about anything we were doing that day or what came to mind.” In addition to writing and performing you will find Alex Jade spending time with her Pug Frankenstein who makes an appearance on her Instagram from time to time, seeing her family, supporting charities which include Cancer Research, Diabetes UK and RSPCA and maintaining an active lifestyle. “It’s so important to be healthy especially when you sing you don’t have strings you can just reattach to a guitar or buy a replacement cable for an amp the voice is you and your body and you have to look after it as it’s all you’ve got there is no back up.”
Alex Jade’s fans are very important to her. “I love love love my fans – I love meeting and finding out about them. I get lots of super lovely messages and comments from them so if you are reading this I love you guys!! It’s the best when I’m not performing or recording I always have a chat with my fans on Facebook they always are so sweet” Her family and friends have played a large role in her journey as well; She would like to thank her Parents Tracie & Mick, Her Nan Sylvia, Her music teacher Helen, her vocal coach Sabrina and Her girls Kim, Neelam, Lisa, Nikki, Jasmine and Lucy “These people are legends – When I feel low or need advice I turn to them and they pick me up, dust me off and get me mentally prepared to tackle the next challenge I love you all dearly you are all phenomenal!!”
Her advice to people pursuing the same passion or any passion is “You can do this – if the hunger is there – your time will come and you’ll have so many amazing memories along the way that you’ll find you’ve been living your dream for a lot longer than you thought without even getting the end goal yet!” She wants to be remembered as someone who is a free spirit, speaks her mind and isn’t afraid to stand up for what she believes in and has so much fun along the way.
Alex Jade is heading for an exciting time as the first of three original singles is soon to be heard! 2017 will be an interesting year – there will be more live performances and gigs and no doubt you’ll be seeing her face a lot more. Innocent Eyes is Alex Jade’s upcoming debut single. She talks about her inspiration for the song here: “Innocent Eyes was an interesting concept to come up with – It was based on a relationship where the love was so blind and I was so naïve to think they were telling me the truth about everything and it was so shocking when all the lies came out that when I looked into their eyes they used to looked like home and it was such an innocent thing yet actually it couldn’t be further from the truth”
Alex Jade has clear goals and a concise plan to grow her fan base and get her music available to as many international music consumers as possible. She is now under the wing of elite US based management company, Arrow Music Agency after recently signing an exclusive worldwide management deal. This new union will help build the Alex Jade profile internationally creating diverse opportunities. Arrow Music Agency is headed up by Chris Sobonya (President) and has a roster of worldwide artists from countries including: US, Canada, Sweden, France, Netherlands, New Zealand, UK, and Australia.
