Entertainment buying is a lot like buying a used car. When you buy a used car, it is nice to have a reputable mechanic on your side. That is where we come in. We have been buying and selling quality entertainment for forty years.
Entertainers are not cheap, and knowing which performers are reputable and guaranteed hits at your event can be difficult to know unless you have followed these entertainers for years. That's what we do at Alan Sands Entertainment.

Not every magician can do close-up & strolling magic even though they do a stage show. Every comic is not perfect for a sweet 16 party even though they headline comedy clubs. All Hypnotists can't handle an adult audience even though they do 30 high school shows annually.

Experience

I, Alan Sands, began travelling with my father, George Sands (magician and creator of 17 books on magic, balloon sculpture and puppetry) when I was only three years old. "People ask how long I've been performing? Since before I was born!" says Sands. "My father was a professional entertainer."
At age 12 (1972), we moved to the heart of the Catskill Mountains resorts in upstate New York. For the next nine years, I did everything imaginable to entertain the guests one can imagine. I was a member of the social & activities staff in three hotels. I did lights and sound in the nightclubs, ran co ... ntests, performed shows, directed lifeguards, took care of equipment, and even became a wrangler in stables.
I first appeared on stage when he was three, assisting his father. By 6 years old, I entertained my audiences, won my first talent contest at age 12 and began performing professionally at 17. While attending high school, I honed my skills as a hypnotist at parties.
Making a Career of It I worked through college, doing balloons and performing comedy magic at Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39 in San Francisco. I polished his act there and perfected my talents, making an audience feel comfortable with me from the moment I walked on stage.
"It's a specific talent and hard to describe. However, accomplished street performers understand that when you begin your show, you must make your audience love you so they want to stay until the end." (And give you money!). After taking clinical hypnosis training in 1997, I became a Certified Stage Hypnotist in 1998. I have performed at over 250 county, state and agriculture fairs, exhibitions and festivals, at a hundred colleges, a dozen casinos, multiple extended runs at amusement parks, about 750 company picnics, dozens of comedy clubs, theatres, conventions, and cruise ships, as well as over 400 high school shows for grad nights and post-prom parties. Meet the Act

I like using the metaphor of "used cars." To buy a used car, unless it is virtually new, you really can not judge what this car has been through and how good it will be in the future. Therefore, I depend on reputable mechanics to inspect that car for me and do research and tell me if that make and model car is sound historically.
That is where I come in. All I do is entertainment. I not only go to see shows, watch videos, talk to other producers, agents, buyers of talent, but I attend trade shows where booths line the halls, acts showcase, and I go to events where performers are doing their ... entire performance. In addition, I track the history of performers on Social Media. Do you want an Up and Coming comedy Hypnotist, or do you want someone who has returned to the same fair for over 20 years?
