I was 2011-2014 as Guest Entertainement solo pianist on Oceania Cruises USA. I played solo recitals (mostly one or 2 on each cruise) I make show with classic and some pop music on piano, speaking english or german. Also I play piano duo or with singers or violonists. I can teach adults and teens as well (private lessons, also online).

Biography

Agata Hołdyk – PhD holder, adjunct of the Music Institute, Silesian University in Katowice. Prizewinner in many national and international competitions, among others: 5th place in the 21st International Piano Competition in Marsala (Sicily), 1st place in the 3rd Silesian Piano Competition in Zabrze and 2nd place in the 6th M. Magin International Piano Competition in Paris (France). A grant holder of the Minister’s of Culture and Art Artistic Grant.
In 2009 she formed the AHHA PIANO DUO together with Alexandra Hałat. The pianists’ artistic achievements include prizes won in internatio ... nal competitions: the second prize in the Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition in New York (records contest), an award in International Piano Competition “Concours Grieg“ in Oslo (Norway).
She began her piano lessons at the age of 9 at the Stanisław Moniuszko Primary School of Music and at the Karol Szymanowski Secondary School of Music she graduated with honours in the piano class of mgr. Maria Wróbel-Zegalska. She is a graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice in the piano class of Professor Andrzej Jasiński. She made a practical course at the University for Music and Art (Graz, Austria). She finished postgraduate studies in piano class of professor Andrzdej Jasinski.
Agata Hołdyk was also a member of Jury at International Piano Competition in Goerlitz and National Piano Duo Cmpetition in Jelenia Gora. Continually she is playing concerts as a solo and chamber artist in Poland and abroad (Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Ukraine).

Meet the Act

I started playing piano as I was 9. I loved to play, hated practising piano:) after some competitions, where I won the prizes – I started to like it, then to love it.
I love sport, fitnsess. I was the finalist on The One Year Running Challenge in Poland.
Get up at 5.30 am – sport training first! I also ski on winter.
I like to read about classic composers, some funny details about them, I speak about it, some anegdotes before I play on my shows. It makes a remarkable event, an exceptional, spiritual experience of music art.
I started on ships as replacement pianist because one pi ... anist got preagnant. After the first recital I got the highest marks from guests (over 103%) and got proposal for the next trips. Read More

I can teach adults and teens as well - english or german. We can start from the beginning or practise some more advanced repertoire. I always give online feedback after the recordings. I prefere video recordings but audio files are also OK.
Online lessons are always video lessons - messenger, whatsapp, or skype.
