Biography

Dreana Johnson is an international DJ, author and what she has suitably coined, an “inspirationalist.” Receiving her calling at a young age, Johnson always knew that her life’s purpose would be to generate positive energy in the world around her. She discovered the power of faith early on, which has steered her determination to overcome obstacles and continue accomplishing her goals. Johnson quickly learned that her faith would catapult her onto the journey she’s on today, leveraging the influence of music to bring people together and change lives.
Born and raised on the south side ... of Chicago, Johnson’s motivation is to use her gifts – not only as a means of survival – but to rise above the turmoil she has witnessed. At the core of the Dreana Johnson brand is the motivation to live life and chase your dreams, no matter your circumstances. She uses music, written storytelling and motivational speaking to help other creators, women and the next generation of Black leaders curate the hits on their own “life’s playlist” – writing the lyrics to the songs they’ll be to play and share for years to come.
Outside of her hometown, Johnson also often performs in Las Vegas, Miami and internationally in Jamaica and Mexico. Notably, she has also curated musical experiences for events with former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, the National Association of Black Accountants, Loretto Hospital, Chicago White Sox, the Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois, and the Missouri Democratic Party to name a few.
