Biography

Lydia Rae was classically trained for 10 years, then branched into Jazz whilst at university, creating their own jazz album and fronting 7 Big Bands and Function Bands in the UK. Also an avid musician, they play piano, saxophone, drums and clarinet. They featured as a Lead Vocalist on the Anna Lamplough Gospel Explosion Album released in 2022 and has recorded demos for Musical Theatre Composers in the UK that have been sent all over the world. They have recently completed a Master's in Musical Theatre at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where they were selected as a Voc ... al Captain for the Premier of a new musical by David Merriman. Experience

I have fronted numerous Big Bands all over England for the last 4 years!
I am a classically trained singer (Grade 8 ABRSM distinction), with a Diploma in Musical Theatre (DipLCM 96/100) and have performed over 40 function sets in a Big Band and over 20 Jazz gigs in the North East.
Masters in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Previous Clients

I have many regular clients who invite me back to perform at Summer events, coffee mornings, Christmas Work Do's and Bar Live Music nights.
I record songs for composer/producers who need Demos or Voices for their work. This ranges from new Musical Theatre Writing to improvising over bars.
