WHAT SET UP REQUIREMENTS ARE THERE?

Close-up Magicians do not generally have a lot of equipment or set up requirements. They carry their props in their pockets (and up their sleeves) and move around from group to group. They will usually arrive around 30 minutes before they are due to start performing, to smarten up and prepare.

All they require is a backstage area in which to get ready. If there is no available purpose-built dressing room, a lockable office or back room should be sufficient. You should also offer your magician water, soft drinks and tea or coffee. If they are performing over a long period, they will also need a proper meal.
