Biography
I fell in love with drums at the age of 5, and started lessons and learning to play. We found a local teacher by the name Spike T Smith. He had been with many bands including Morrissey, the Damned etc. Spike taught me everything I needed to know about drumming. I started playing live in school when I was 5/6 years old. We played at school concerts and fete’s and sometimes outside of school performances. We played in the local town square around Christmas time. Following this, I was asked to go and perform in Gijon, Spain when I was 8 years old. This was the first big live performance I did. ... I played drums to backing tracks and supported Welsh band the Crazy Cavern who were a fairly big rock n roll band in Spain at the time. I played to 1000+ people including some media and news reporters. I even managed to get air time on a news channel in Spain (as seen in video linked with profile). When I returned, I continued playing live to backing tracks, and performed a lot in local pubs and venues. While in primary school, I helped out with teaching students and helped inspire 80% of the students into picking up an instrument. We had a big school band in primary school, and when we moved into secondary school, I formed a 4 piece band called Amplified with some of the students attending the school that were more stand out talents and a local guitarist and we took our talents out into the real world. I played live covers for the next 4/5 years with Amplified. We played 150+ gigs covering all genres of music and doing all types of gigs from weddings to local festivals with crowds of 8,000+. As the band parted, me and the bassist continued to play together in other bands. The first one was a Jimi Hendrix tribute band called Third Stone From The Sun. We started out by playing mostly Jimi Hendrix songs and ended up being more of a rock n roll cover band. We then moved on to a new band called Easyersaid, which was a generic cover band playing all sorts of functions and gigs. In 2017, I moved to London to attend University at Bimm London. Here I studied a year of drums and a year of music technology before reevaluating what I wanted to do with me career. During this time, I was in an original band called Wharf. We released a few singles and an EP while I was with wharf.
