Typically in my shows I will dance to a carefully curated mixture of traditional and modern Arabic music to showcase different belly dance styles, from the latest Cairo trends to folkloric dances.
The performance can include the use of many exciting props such as silk veils, fans, sword, candle tray, cane or finger cymbals, or to provide an additional "wow" factor to the show I can perform an entrance piece with Shamaadan (traditional candelabra headpiece)!
A performance set lasts about 15 minutes; you can request as many sets as you like, and they come with costume changes.
I have a ran ... ge of beautiful, elegant high end costumes to suit all locations and events.
I'm happy to accommodate if you would like me to dance to a particular music or with a particular prop, so we can really customise my show to your needs and your audience!
Depending on the wishes of the guests, I can include an audience participation section, where I encourage people to get up and dance with me. This is usually when people have the most fun, but I am always respectful and never push if someone prefers to watch instead!
If you feel like learning the moves yourself, I can also teach a taster workshop at your event! You will learn basic belly dance moves that we're going to put into a fun and upbeat choreography. We can also choose a song together if you like!
The duration of the workshop can be up to 2 hours depending on your requests.

Biography

I am from Rome, Italy, but I have been living in the UK since 2017.
I had my first encounter with Raqs Sharqi (or Belly Dance as it is known in the western world) in 2009 when I went to see Jillina's Belly Dance Evolution show in my hometown. I can truly say that day changed my life! Mesmerised by its beauty and grace, I dived in headfirst in to the world of Belly Dance, and 10+ years later my love for it is still strong and ever growing.
I initially took Tribal Fusion Belly Dance classes until in 2012 I started studying traditional Egyptian Belly Dance, which is still my absolute favouri ... te style.
In 2013 I started studying with the great Egyptian teacher Saad Ismail, student of the world-renowned Master Mahmoud Reda. Through Saad's precious teachings I gained much invaluable knowledge about the wonderful culture of which this dance is an expression, and I had the chance to learn authentic Raqs Sharqi as well as Egyptian folkloric dance styles.
In 2014-2016 I was also a student of Italian-Tunisian teacher Maryem Bent Anis with which I performed as part of the Maryem Oriental Dancers troupe, bringing the magic and glam of belly dance to stages around Rome.
I always continue enriching my dance and widening my education about this beautiful Art by attending workshops and festivals, as well as learning Egyptian Arabic to dive even deeper in this beautiful culture. Read More

Experience

I perform in a variety of venues and events and for all kind of audiences, ranging from restaurant and nightclubs to colleges and care homes, from wedding parties to cultural events, and I can adapt my show to all these different settings.
I have a wide repertoire and an in-depth knowledge of dance technique and cultural background gained in more than 10 years of dedicated studies since I was a teen.
I have been studying Belly Dance since 2009, initially in Tribal Fusion Belly Dance classes.
In 2012 I started studying traditional Egyptian Belly Dance, and started getting experience with ... props such as veils, candelabra, cane and sword.
In 2013 I begin studying with the great Egyptian teacher Saad Ismail, student of the world-renowned Master Mahmoud Reda. With Saad I had the chance to learn authentic Raqs Sharqi as well as Egyptian folkloric dance styles such as saidi, beledi, fallahi, nubian, bambouty etc.
In 2014-2016 I was also a student of Italian-Tunisian teacher Maryem Bent Anis with which I performed as part of the Maryem Oriental Dancers troupe in theatres, festivals and large events.
I always continue enriching my dance and widening my education about this beautiful Art by attending workshops and festivals, and over the years I have studied with many renown Egyptian artist such as Nada El Masreya, Doaa Sallam, Hosam Elmansy, Mohamed Shahin, Farah Nasry, Sherihan, and international artist such as Aida Bogomolova, Oxana Bazaeva, Jamilah, Dariya Mitskevich, Chiara Saccomanno, Silvia Brazzoli and many more.
